Meet David Winbush. He has so far pinned the mood of the area down exactly. Mr. Winbush is from “The middle of England, Staffordshire” but is staying locally this week. He decided to come into Edinburgh the day before the vote because that is when he thinks emotions will be running highest and the campaigns will produce the most to see, the most charged atmosphere if you will. I do believe he was right about that. Mr. Winbush thinks that by the day of the vote, everything will be rather flat because no one will be wanting to discuss it in the polling lines or at work. We shall see.
I asked which way he hoped the vote would go and he said:
“I’m open either way.”
Mr. Winbush does not, however, believe much will change and that by Friday something new will catch the world’s attention.
