Last Day Being in the UK?

Dawn Hetherington

Vittoria’s was my choice for lunch today.  I was drawn here by the promise of yummy gluten free Italian food and am thoroughly pleased.  This is the best meal I have had on my trip.

Sitting at the next table was a lovely woman from the coast of England, about four hours away.  Dawn Hetherington is in Edinburgh for a visit.  We talked a bit and I of course had to ask her if she came for the vote as I did.  Dawn replied:

“When I planned my trip, I didn’t realize it was the day of the referendum.  If it goes ‘Yes’ I’ll be here on the last day of Scotland being in the U.K.  It’s history.”

We talked a little more about travel and also the potential challenges Scotland may face in the future.  Thank you Dawn, for the great company during lunch.
