Local Expat

Paul

Paul was originally a local who now lives in New York. He just flew in the day after the vote and was anxious to see the results after getting off the train.

“They made the right choice. I’m glad they did what they did.”

Paul’s accent still sounds Scottish to my ears but his mannerisms and affect were solidly American. I hadn’t even noticed that much difference as those around me changed gradually on the trip over but while talking to him it stood out. I wonder what it will be like going back home?
