It makes me sad to see the Love Locks on Paris’ bridges come to an end. No, I don’t have a lock up there myself but I’m a romantic at heart. They were a beautiful tribute to that elusive relationship we chase. Since they are removing them, it would be nice to see them end up in a museum or shop of sorts where vowed lockers could return to see their symbol. I wonder if this really will put the declarations of love to an end or if tourists, as I suspect most Frenchmen and women prefer to not have their bridges falling in, will find another way. According to this article, they are replacing the bridge panels with plexiglass. http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/30/travel/paris-love-locks-bridges-feat/index.html
Maybe the vendors leading up to the bridges will begin to sell markers instead?
